There's more to the Hebrew Bible than just the Torah (Genesis through Deuteronomy)!

Beyond the 5 Books

Join us to read through the books of NaKh (Nevi'im and Ketuvim, that is "Prophets" and "Writings"), book-club style - i.e., independent reading with periodic group discussion. This year we're tackling the first 6 books of Prophets, the so-called "Deuteronomistic history," covering one book every two months.

**Knowledge of Hebrew / the Hebrew Bible is helpful, but not a necessary prerequisite. All are welcome to come and work through this material together!**

We plan to cover the Neviim Rishonim, "Former Prophets" (Joshua, Judges, Samuel & Kings) in 5783 by reading one book every two months.

A table shows the reading schedule for working through the first six books of the Prophets.

October through November: Joshua
December through January: Judges
February through March: First Samuel
April through May: Second Samuel
June through July: First Kings
August through September: Second Kings
